Fig & Olive – Authentic Mediterranean Delight in Jensen Beach, FL

Nestled in the serene location of 1309 NE Sunview Terrace in Jensen Beach, FL, Fig & Olive is a hidden gem offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you step through the door, the ambiance is warm and inviting—a perfect blend of quaint comfort with spacious seating that makes you feel right at home.

What sets Fig & Olive apart is its dedication to freshness and quality. The menu features a wide range of organic options, all prepared fresh on the premises. Whether you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, the staff here goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. They are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely care about your dining experience. I was particularly impressed with how they handled my food allergies—taking the time to thoroughly go over the menu and ensure everything was safe for me to enjoy.

We decided to share several small plates to fully experience the variety of flavors this restaurant offers. Our culinary journey began with roasted beets, onions, and garlic, lightly caramelized to perfection. The dish was paired with a cashew dipping sauce, which my dining companion enjoyed with pita bread, while I was offered sweet potato crackers as an alternative. Even without the dipping sauce, the dish was delightful—simple yet bursting with flavor.

Next, we savored toasted cauliflower and chickpeas in lemon tahini. The creamy tahini complemented the cooked cauliflower perfectly, creating a balance of textures and flavors that was both satisfying and memorable. This dish truly showcased the restaurant’s mastery in combining fresh ingredients with bold Mediterranean spices.

One of the highlights of the meal was the falafel. Our waitress informed us that it would take an additional 15 minutes to prepare because they wanted to use a separate fryer due to my allergies. This extra step showed the care and consideration the staff puts into each meal, ensuring that every guest has a safe and enjoyable dining experience. The falafel was well worth the wait—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor.

To finish off our meal, we indulged in a coconut milk rice pudding topped with cinnamon. This dessert was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful meal, offering a creamy and comforting sweetness that left us thoroughly satisfied.

Overall, Fig & Olive offers a five-star dining experience, not just for its delicious food but also for its outstanding service. The staff’s commitment to accommodating food allergies and ensuring every detail is taken care of puts this restaurant at the top of my list. If you’re ever in the area, don’t miss out on the chance to experience this Mediterranean treasure for yourself.

PS Green restaurant

 PS Green

Located at 2306 E Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale, FL, PS Green offers a dining experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The atmosphere is perfect for any mealtime, even if you're craving breakfast for dinner. Indoor seating is available, and they offer a limited  selection of wine and beer.

During our visit, the staff  were kind and friendly. I opted for the avocado chickpea wrap accompanied by a side salad and roasted potatoes, which was both flavorful and satisfying. My dining companion raved about the delicious chicken empanadas they ordered.

One notable aspect of PS Green is the attention to dietary needs. They have separate cooking areas for omnivores and plant-based diners, and they were careful about cross-contamination when I shared my food allergies. This thoughtful approach adds to the restaurant's appeal.

PHO BAR Davie, Fl

PHO

I recently visited PHO BAR at 6310 Griffen Rd, Davie, FL, and had a fantastic experience. The staff was accommodating, allowing me to customize my Vegan Pho with a light, healthy broth made from fruits and vegetables. I opted for carrots, tofu, and sprouts, excluding broccoli and mushrooms. The individually packaged to-go option with clear heating instructions made the meal convenient. Despite the busy atmosphere, the place maintained a great vibe, offering indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, the food was delicious, and I highly recommend trying it either in-house or to go.
